About Me

Drawing on 15 years' experience as a copywriter, consultant and project manager, I deliver unique, effective and professional copywriting services.

Copywriting with clarity, resonance and personality

Whether you need copy for a 60 word ad or a 60 page product manual, my aim is to communicate ideas and information clearly so that people get your message. A distinctive voice, presenting the qualities of your brand and connecting with your target audience is just as important for effective copywriting.

Clear and compelling, informative and engaging

Like music, writing is a science and an art. With the right words, sentence length, grammar and punctuation, I can make sure your copy is clear, easy-to-read and correct. I also use language and rhythm to tell a story, create a tone of voice and draw your audience in. It’s this mixture of following the rules and being creative that makes writing so much fun for me.

I’m curious and eager to learn so I enjoy finding out about different types of businesses and people through my work.

Professional and reliable

During my 15 year career in the UK and Australia, I’ve delivered marketing and communication solutions for clients in the corporate, education, government and not-for-profit sectors, including Panasonic, Ford, the BBC, UNSW, Telstra and Athletics Australia. My background in communications and project management have taught me the value of sticking to deadlines, keeping the bigger picture in mind and staying in touch.

I’m quick, reliable, accurate and always careful to manage expectations and milestones.

How I work

When it comes to the briefing process, I’m flexible and efficient, taking up the minimum amount of your time to get your copy right.

Getting the information to make your content complete and clear is an important part of copywriting. If you already work with writers or agencies, I’ll fit in with your way of running things. If we’re starting from scratch I’ll send you a briefing form to complete or we can work through some key questions on the phone, via email or face- to-face.

Once we’ve agreed on your requirements, you’ll get a quote based on my hourly rate. Quotes include one round of changes so I can fine tune the original draft to deliver exactly what you’re looking for. I’m always very clear about deadlines for delivering first drafts and I’ll suggest a timeframe for you to provide feedback so the final draft can meet our agreed deadline.
